AQUATIC SPECIALIST
PJ Flick With a career spanning an impressive 37 years with the American Red Cross, I am PJ Flick, a seasoned professional deeply committed to safety, education, and community service.
My extensive qualifications showcase a dedication to training and preparedness. As a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, Water Safety Instructor, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, CPR Pro Instructor, CPR I Instructor, Wilderness Instructor, Emergency Medical Responder Instructor, and First Aid Instructor Trainer, I have played a pivotal role in shaping the capabilities of countless individuals in emergency response. My journey with the American Red Cross has been marked by a passion for teaching. I've spent significant time imparting essential skills through various courses, contributing to the organization's mission of building resilient and informed communities. Currently serving as the Aquatic Director for Chichester School District, I bring my expertise to the coaching realm, nurturing talents as I lead the US swim team. My extensive involvement with US Swimming as a retired referee attests to my longstanding commitment to aquatic sports. Beyond my professional endeavors, I've dedicated 50 years to the Girl Scouts, embodying the values of leadership and service. As a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, I proudly connect with my historical roots. Active in my church community, I serve on the Board of Trustees, furthering my commitment to spiritual and community growth. My contributions have not gone unnoticed, with accolades including the American Red Cross John Degnan Water Safety Award, The Leadership Award, Hours of Service Awards, and the Outstanding Service Award from the Longfellow Society. Recognized for exceptional customer service, I've also been honored with the prestigious Honorary Role Model for Youth Award by the Delaware County Labor Board.
