Pennsylvania EMS Instructor Course
Purpose:
To provide contemporary information on the teaching and learning process so EMS educators help their students to achieve their learning goals. To provide opportunities for networking with other educators, mentoring by experienced educators, and a catalyst for personal growth.
Instructor Certification Requirements
1) Completion of this course
2) At least 18 years of age
3) Current PA DOH CPR certification
4) At least 1 year of experience providing EMS as an EMT or higher-level EMS provider (letter from EMS agency manager)
Monitored Instructor Hours:
You must complete your 20 hours of monitored instruction within 1 year of course completion.
Continuing Education: 40 hours

If you choose to take your AHA BLS Instructor Course following you will need to complete the steps listed below ONLY if you choose to receive your AHA BLS Instructor Certification.
